the house 1(TC Douglas House)

This house was refurbished and renovated in the summer of 2015. 146 Howland is a quiet house, with plenty of common living space. It is a 7 bedroom house, with dining room, living room, a kitchen, and two bathrooms. 

The house is named after Tommy Douglas who was the leader of the Co-operator Commonwealth Federation in 1935.Douglas was active in promoting the interests of Co-operatives in Saskatchewan. Douglas is most well-known for introducing singler-payer healthcare to Canada and as the first federal leader of the National Democratic Party. As the leader of the NDP, he promoted the interests of student Co-operatives in Canada. TC Douglas House was acquired in 1983.
